2001 $1 SILVER KANGAROO UNC IN SLIPCASE
ROO COIN SERIES

This superb frosted uncirculated coin's design has been taken from a
painting by Aboriginal artist Jeanette Timbery. Jeanette belongs to the
Bidjigal tribe and was born and grew up in La Perouse, New South
Wales. She spent her childhood assisting her father paint, but over the
years has developed a style that is her very own.
The coin is released by the Royal Australian Mint in recognition of the
Kangaroo as a special symbol of Australia. Thoughtfully sculptured by
Wojciech Pietranik and struck in fine silver, this frosted
uncirculated collector's item is the ninth annual release in the Silver
Kangaroo Series. The coin has been made from 99.9% fine silver and
has a monetary value of $1.00. The coin comes complete to you in
a slipcase and protective covering. A magnificent addition to anyone's
collection.
