This is a brilliant coin has been released by The Perth Mint to
celebrate the Year of the Goat. This coin is just a part of The
Australian Lunar Proof Series, and is made from 99.9% pure silver.
The Chinese believe people born in the Year of the Goat are creative,
artistic and natural performers. Goats are said to be bearers of peace,
friendly and sociable. The reverse design features a loving mother
goat and her kid, bordered by five bats, which symbolize health,
peace and prosperity. The Chinese character for goat and The Perth
Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark are also incorporated into the design.
The obverse of the coin features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her
Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The Perth Mint will release no more than
5000 individual coins. The coin comes to you complete with a Certificate
of Authenticity and is housed in a red leather display case.
