QUEENS GOLDEN JUBILEE OF CORONATION 2003 COIN

2003 marks the 50th anniversary of the coronation of Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth II. On the 2nd of June 1953, before a spellbound
world-wide audience numbering in the millions, a beautiful young
princess was crowned Queen and sovereign over Britain and the
Commonwealth, pledging to an adoring public: "Throughout all my
life and with all my heart, I shall strive to be worthy of your trust."
For half a century, Her Majesty has risen above tragedy and turmoil
to keep her promise. This fine silver coin has only had 17,500 issued
from the Royal Australian Mint. This limited mintage legal tender
coin is individually struck from a carefully prepared blank using
hand finished coinage dies, producing a delicately frosted raised
image complemented by a highly polished mirror-like background.
Peter Soobik designed the reverse of the coin, while the obverse
displays the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Ian Rank-Broadley.
The coin comes complete to you in a red velvet presentation case and
includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
This is a spectacular coin for any collector to enjoy.
This particular design was to be brought into Circulation but the
reserve bank halted this as there was not enough of a demand
hence this coin is rare!!
