2003 EVOLUTION OF THE ALPHABET 10oz COIN

This is a beautiful coin that has been brought out by The Perth Mint and is
the third coin to be released in the five-year Evolution Companion
Series of Proof Australian Kookaburra coins. This issue is the
Evolution of the Alphabet and is a 10 ounce coin with the legal tender
of $10. Made from 99.9% pure silver, this is an astounding coin which
celebrates the development of human knowledge. It features an
intricate design incorporating representations of ancient, modern,
eastern and western words or symbols and the inscription Evolution of
the Alphabet. The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark is also featured
in the design. The obverse of the coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley
effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. There is a limited mintage of
1500 coins to be released by the Mint. This stunning coin must be seen
to believe the sheer brilliance that it portrays.
