2003 TEN OUNCE COLLECTION OF 3 COINS

This 2003 Ten Ounce Collection is a wonder to behold. There are three
coins in the collection, a 1oz, 2oz and 10oz silver proof coin each
struck from 99.9% pure silver. Brought out by The Perth Mint they
have a quality proof finish.
The 10 oz coin is the third in the five-year Evolution companion series,
which is based on the tools and instruments that have helped man
define his universe through the ages. It features an intricate design
incorporating representations of ancient, modern, eastern and western
words or symbols and the inscription EVOLUTION OF THE ALPHABET.
The 1oz and the 2oz coins both feature a design of Australia's best-known
native bird. Two Kookaburras, one on a tree branch and one in flight,
appear on the reverse of the coins.
Each of the coins features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty
Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination. There is a limited
mintage on these coins of only 400 collections being issued. Each
collection is housed in a terracotta coloured leather look display case,
accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. This is a
stunning collection that will take pride of place wherever you show it.
